Netboot works until the tg3 module takes ower. This kernel works on the HP box i have. The issue will still occur within the first few minutes after booting and I tested this out by pinging Google and other computers on the internal network. Hi, disabling highdma with ethtool seems to work around the issue. This can be done with something like: The tg3 broadcom network driver that binds with chipset goes offline and unable to recover even with tg3 watchdog fg3 when network transmit is under high load.

It seems to take longer for dmesg to log anything or for Network Manager to show that the ethernet interface has been disconnected.
