Just make sure you use the balanced outputs for monitors, as the RCA inputs sound much different and are much weaker. So far I have no real issues with it, but it should be noted I only use this as a sound device, not as an input device for now.

Input Phantom Power makes a big difference from the other interfaces. The front saftire volume dial featuring in this Focusrite digital recording interface gives you instant control to the main stereo outputs. It is my first choice for a stand alone USB digital converter. It always works great with Ableton Live and Cubase.

It gives me the ability to use my other MIDI gear and high quality mics insted of relying on the equipment inside the computer. I am not sure why but in my personal experience I have hit a few bumps when trying to use it with FL Focustite 9.

It offers a front-panel Mixer dial to set the balance between your input source s and the playback mix, while the headphone mix lets you toggle between the main mix, sent to outputs 1 and 2, or outputs 3 and sagfire. The preamps are a mirror image of the audio source – something which definitely could not be said about my previous M-Audio interface or M-Box2.


The front panel provides two inputs for mic, line or Hi-Z instrument sources, with a switch to select between line or instrument below the gain dial. Saffire interfaces famously offer supremely low latency recording and the 6 USB is no different, with a minimum latency sqffire just 77 samples. My only problem is the lack of volume, I’m not sure if that’s the mic of not but either way it can be fixed in post production.

It’s a focsrite have seriously. I recommenderai beginners or producers of electronic music for example, who just need to connect a microphone and an analog synth for example. The preamps are good, but not transcendent. This interface is powered by your USB connection and has very good microphone preamps 2 of them on this 2 in and 4 out interface. Packaging should be the same as what is found in a retail store, unless the item is handmade or was packaged by the manufacturer in non-retail packaging, such as an unprinted box or plastic bag.

Focusrite Saffire 6 USB – 6 Channel Audio & SAFFIRE 6 USB

There really is nothing different between any of them except for the Saffire 6 has a little better preamp to it that will give you a better sound when recording especially if you are using a low end microphone. Designed with DJs in mind.
