Even if it works, the defect is no support. Is there any way to automate this so that the wireless adapter switches on when XP Home starts?

The way i get around it is to Hibernate my laptop instead of shutting it down. Call it in and if they don’t fix it, arrange for it’s return. This makes for a faster startup, saves all your open apps, and ,of course, keeps the wifi enabled. I hope somebody from Fujitsu-Siemens is reading this
